Why do we exist?

Western Pennsylvania needed high-quality, safety-first training that regular people could actually access. We created Pennsylvania Tactical Training Center to meet that need. Every paid class is reinvested: we keep pricing reasonable, improve our facilities (indoor range, classroom, future outdoor range), and offer low- or no-cost training days when funding is available. We primarily serve Jefferson, Clearfield, and Clarion counties, and also reach the greater Pittsburgh area and nearby communities.

Training Assistance

We don’t want cost to keep anyone in our community from getting safety training. When seats are available, we set aside a small number for individuals in Jefferson, Clearfield, Clarion, and nearby Western PA communities who have requested assistance. Requests are reviewed on a rolling monthly basis and are supported by paid enrollments, donations, and, when applicable, grant funding. This helps us make sure local families and organizations can benefit from the training we provide.

How We Sustain the Mission

We use a mixed, sustainable model to keep training going in Western PA:

  • Earned income from classes and memberships shows there is real community demand.

  • Community support from people who want safer towns helps us maintain and upgrade the facility.

  • Grants let us expand capacity and run more low- or no-cost sessions for residents and local organizations.

This approach lets us add class dates, bring in more instructors, and serve groups that may not have a training budget.
